Usha Rajagopalan is a writer by choice and conservationist by chance from Bengaluru. She led a campaign to save Puttenahalli Puttakere and ended up nurturing it through a registered non-profit trust, PNLIT. Directly or indirectly, the lake became a model for others in the city. PNLIT won, among others, the Namma Bengaluru award. Usha is the author of three novels, two volumes of poetry translated from Tamil and one collection of short stories. Her current project is a lake based memoir.
